This policy provides the details of what donor-related non-public personal information TechForce Foundation (formerly known as Universal Technical Institute Foundation), an Arizona non profit corporation collects, how it is used, and how it is protected. When a donor makes a contribution to the Foundation, he/she may be confident that the information provided, whether by mail, email, telephone, the Foundation web site or in person will be kept in strictest confidence. Any information provided will be used only to process a gift or request and/or to create statistical non-personal data for our internal use. This policy shall be readily available to perspective donors, interested parties and the general public.
The Foundation collects and retains only that information which is necessary to:
- Facilitate the transfer of a contribution.
- Record any special requests by the donor regarding the use of his/her contribution.
- Allow Foundation access to the donor for any communication needed to initiate or facilitate the contribution process or provide donor requested information.
- Provide publication of donor contributions when anonymity is not requested.
Use Of Information
The Foundation does not give out, vend, sell, exchange, barter, peddle, auction, trade, rent, or market donor-related non-public personal information. The Foundation may use public and/or non-public donor information in aggregate form to develop in-house statistics and better understand its donor base and their collective interests, preferences etc.
Protection Of Information
The Foundation maintains strict physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect donor non-public personal information. Access to all donor information is restricted only to employees who need the information to facilitate legitimate activities of the Foundation.
Proctection Of On-Line Information
The Foundation never requests a donor social security number or allows social security numbers to be used as passwords. UTI alumni numbers are used only to identify the member to provide any special benefits accorded to alumni. Credit card numbers and associated information entered into the Foundation web site are encrypted and are not sent in clear text at any point in the data entry or transmission process. It is not stored in the Foundation data base.
Those who choose to register on the Foundation web site and set up a password and/or choose to enroll in our email subscription services, will be identified with a “cookie”, (Cookies are small data files stored on the computer hard drive that may contain personal information about the web site user). TechForce Foundation uses the third party tracking vendor, Omniture.
